Opportunity April 25: Demonstration Project Information Session – Diabetes Prevention in the Workplace
In February, MWC hosted the American Medical Association on a webinar to highlight Diabetes Prevention and ROI in the Workplace. As follow-up to the webinar, MWC would like to invite employers in Michigan to explore a unique limited time opportunity provided by National Kidney Foundation of Michigan to learn more about participating in a funded diabetes prevention demonstration project centered on the nationally accredited Diabetes Prevention Program from the Centers for Disease Control. Potential aims of the project could include:
- Develop Diabetes Prevention Program implementation models suited to diverse workplaces
- Determine from an employer perspective how diabetes prevention can be implemented through the workplace
- Develop best practices for integrating diabetes prevention into an overall wellness strategy
- Highlight issues that need to be addressed for successful outcomes
The American Medical Association and the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan would like to open the dialogue on implementing the National Diabetes Prevention Program via a conference call on April 25, 2016 at 12:30pm EST. If you are interested in learning more about this limited time demonstration project opportunity, please RSVP by filling out the brief registration form by April 20, 2016 for the information session (conference call) on April 25, 2016 at 12:30pm.
