Anne Wawrzyniak received the Fred Zimmer Memorial Scholarship in 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree in Wellness, Health Promotion, & Injury Prevention from Oakland University in 2017, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Health Communication. Outside of her work and school-life, Anne loves traveling, hiking, and reading.

Why are you interested in corporate wellness?
“I enjoy empowering employees with the opportunity to reach their optimal state of health.”
What are you doing today in the field of corporate wellness?
“I work for the federal government in a corporate wellness setting. I serve as Certified Health Education Specialist and Certified Wellness Practitioner. .”
What is your favorite part about what you do?
“Designing health education programming for employees.”
How did receiving the Fred Zimmer Memorial Scholarship help you get to where you are today?
“This scholarship helped me to develop professionally by becoming credentialed as a CWP and CHES®; therefore, enhancing my credibility and subject matter expertise in my workplace.”
